No. Many lifters train the squat, bench press and deadlift without ever entering a meet. If you do plan to compete, meet preparation can be built into your program.

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Progress depends on many factors outside a coach's control. What we commit to is a clear program, regular review and honest feedback.
It depends on the format and the level of support. After the intake call you receive a written proposal with the fee and billing terms, before anything starts.
Talk to your doctor or a licensed physiotherapist first. Coaching is not medical care: we may ask for medical clearance and will point you to a professional when something is outside our scope.
